Aloha Oʻahu

Terms of Use and Purchases

Updated September 7, 2026

These are the same terms you see in the app under Settings › Privacy & Legal. By using Aloha Oʻahu you agree to them and to Apple's standard terms for apps bought on the App Store.

1. Your purchases

A guide or map purchase gives you personal access to the content specifically listed for that product in this app and destination. It is a one-time purchase, not a renewing subscription. A bundle includes only its listed guides. Admission tickets, reservations, equipment, transportation and apps for other destinations are not included. Earlier purchased rights remain unchanged. New products or services are included only when the offer explicitly says so.

2. Optional Aloha AI

Every guide includes unlimited Aloha AI, by chat and live voice, for that guide's topic and places; a bundle includes it for each of its guides, and Complete Island Access includes unlimited Aloha AI for everything. Unlimited means no counters or credits for what you own, subject to fair use: to prevent abuse, unusually heavy use in one day (about three hours of live voice, or very heavy chat) pauses Aloha AI until the next day. A question outside what you own gets a short answer and a link to the guide that covers it. AI passes and credits remain available separately for guests who do not own a guide. A guide remains available when AI access ends. AI needs internet, service availability and your separate permission for OpenAI processing. AI can be incorrect or outdated. Verify local conditions, access, opening hours and activity suitability. Follow official warnings, landowner rules and lifeguard instructions. Do not rely on AI for emergency or safety-critical decisions.

Your free sample includes 3 AI credits for this installation, shared across typed chat, voice, concierge and AI trivia in this app; they do not renew. One guest-requested AI reply uses one credit; the same exchange's internal tool steps do not cost another credit. Setup and opening the game do not use a credit. The sample supports short voice turns, with up to 60 seconds of microphone input per turn. When the sample is used, the conversation or game pauses; choose Buy more credits if you want to continue. The purchase screen does not open automatically. If a reply fails before the AI service is called, the reserved credit is returned. Once the AI service has started answering, that credit is used even if the reply is interrupted or not delivered. Temporary service interruptions preserve remaining credits.

3. Price, duration and renewal

The App Store price and billing terms shown before confirmation control your purchase. Trip passes start at the verified purchase time and last the stated number of days, with no automatic renewal. Recurring plans renew for the displayed billing period unless canceled in your Apple subscription settings. Cancel before the renewal date shown by Apple to avoid another charge. Included annual voice minutes are for the entire year, not each month. Another plan does not automatically stack with an active plan; use the offered supported change or refill path. Existing subscribers keep their applicable Apple terms until Apple confirms any change.

4. Requests and voice time

A paid text credit covers one requested AI answer when no plan provides that chat access. Internal retries and required tool steps do not create extra customer requests. Opening a guide, viewing saved results and moving between cards do not use another request. Voice time counts microphone-listening and reply-playback time, including silence while the microphone is open. Connection setup, AI thinking and paused voice do not count. Pause or close voice when you are finished. Short pacing limits may apply. Temporary service or billing reconciliation problems must not be described as spent customer minutes; remaining units are retained. Buying a refill does not repair an outage.

5. Refills, restore and sharing

Purchased refill credits and voice time do not expire through the passage of time. In the current app, refill balances are stored on the device and are not restored after deleting the app; review this limitation before buying where sales are available. Restore Purchases checks eligible guide and plan purchases on your Apple ID without restarting pass dates. Remaining usage cannot yet be reconciled across devices or after reinstalling the app. Purchases and AI allowances apply to this app and destination. Family, group, cross-device or cross-app balance sharing is included only if the offer explicitly supports it. Never share account credentials.

6. Online services and support

Online maps, current conditions, media and AI may depend on internet and third-party availability. Downloaded content works offline only where supported. A one-time guide purchase does not promise unlimited future online services. New AI purchases may be paused when the service is unavailable. For an incorrect charge or failed delivery, use the support contact on the App Store listing; Apple purchase refund requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com. A refund is subject to Apple's process and applicable consumer law. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.

7. Responsible use and changes

Use the app lawfully for your personal travel. Do not disrupt services, automate abusive consumption, resell access or bypass purchase controls. Do not submit sensitive credentials or information you do not want processed by the named services. The Privacy Policy explains data handling and choices. Material changes will be presented in the app and do not silently remove rights already purchased. Contact the support channel in this app's App Store listing with questions.

Safety on the island

Aloha Oʻahu helps you plan. It does not guarantee access, opening hours, conditions or your safety. Trails close, surf and currents change, and some places need permits or reservations. Check official sources, posted warnings and lifeguards, stay within your limits and respect private land and closures. In an emergency, call 911.
